Coconut Macaroons



  • 5x egg whites
  • 250 gr. Sugar (powder or the finest)
  • 350 gr. Shredded coconut
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt


  1. Preheat the oven to 170°C /338°F
  2. Prepare a baking sheet
  3. Mix the egg whites till foamy
  4. Add sugar, vanilla sugar and shredded coconut till sticky creamy substance
  5. Make an “egg” with two teaspoons and put the “egg” on the baking sheet
  6. Continue till dough is gone
  7. Put all in the oven for about 20 -25 minutes till tops are golden brown
  8. Cool them down and put them in an airtight box

For the more hot and spicy types, you can use a bit of chillies and for the more spirit(ual) types, add a bit of rum or Malibu..
